At our center, we provide a one-stop shop for activities and services to adults in their Golden Years. With a great amount of care and compassion, our staff helps seniors foster self-esteem by keeping them physically, socially, and emotionally active. We strive to make Kathelene’s a home away from home by creating a safe and comfortable environment.
We are able to provide appropriate services no matter the individual’s diagnosis. Caregivers seeking a respite can rest easy knowing that their loved ones are in good hands. Pet, music, and exercise therapy are just a few services that Kathelene’s offers. We individualize our activities to create a holistic environment that fits the needs of all the people we serve.

"My dad goes to Kathelene's every Tuesday and Thursday and always comes home with a smile on his face. Dementia can make it difficult to get a person out of their comfort zone... but Kathelene's has become a safe haven for my dad. He quickly adapted to the routine at Kathelene's and really enjoys the company, crafts and especially the field trips!
Thank you to all the staff at Kathelene's for giving both my dad and our family back some much-needed freedom. My dad's exceptional care from your dedicated employees is appreciated more than you know!"
"Teberah, what a caring person you are still visiting Dad. I know he loves your visits. I am still going every day usually in the evening as he seems to like visiting at that time and then me being there when they get him ready for bed.
Thanks for your loving kindness and dedication to those who cross your path. You are an inspiration to me and all who have come to know you."
You are such a blessing in my life. I can't thank you enough. May you and yours always be blessed with good health, prosperity, and may all the desires of your heart be answered. Thanks for taking our Mother on an outing with you. She loves to go and I thank God everyday that my mother is physically healthy.
I know that it was in divine order that God sent me to you and your lovely facility and I am so very grateful for his blessing. Please know that you will always have the highest recommendation for all that I know that has a love one who can benefit from the services you offer."
"I love seeing my dad up and ready in the morning waiting on the van to turn the corner to pick him up for Kathelene's Compassionate Adult Day Health Service. I get joy out of showing off pictures of dad to family members and friends of all the activities that he has been on while attending the center such as a picture of him with the Detroit Pistons' cheerleaders, visiting the horse stable and many more.
Kathelene's has made him feel productive and keeps him active at 80 years old. As a caretaker I feel blessed to have such a service available and wish Kathelene's was in business when my mother was living.
I have had family members and friends ask if they can register themselves now so that when this service is needed they will already be at the top of the waiting list (LOL). Keep up the good work, your service will be needed for generations to come."
"My uncle has Alzheimer’s; I didn’t know how difficult people with Alzheimer's have to adjust to life. After my aunt died in February, I was taking care of my uncle. After her death he became depresses and stressed out, it didn’t help his illness at all. He started getting moody and aggressive. I didn’t want to put him in a home or having him on drugs that makes him incoherent.
I was talking to someone about his behavier and she suggested adult day care where he could be around people like himself. She got in touch with Kathelene’s compassionate adult day care health services. At first I was kind of reluctant about him going there, but after the owners came to the house, I saw she was very pleasant and confident she and her staff could help.
He’s been attending the day care for about three months, I see a change in his attitude, he’s talkative and not so depress. It’s like a family atmosphere at the day care.
I really appreciate what they have done in making him feel comfortable and useful. Since there is no cure Alzheimer's the classes they have for caregivers, help spare you on what to expect as changes in their mental and physical conditions they are also informative on where to go for financial aid if necessary, and other things is they can aide you in the care of someone.

Social interaction is important for mental stimulation and is often lost when seniors are isolated from their community. Our center is able to provide intergenerational interaction through its volunteers and staff members as well as socialization among participants. Our structured classes and therapy sessions are always meant to inspire interaction between people of similar and varied backgrounds. Our staff is compiled of nursing assistants and home health aides that are certified to give a higher level of care. All staff are CPR Certified, trained on blood borne pathogens and utilize universal precautions to decrease the spread of infections.
Kathelene’s understands that transportation can be one of the most stressful components of care-giving. That is why we offer quality transport from your front door to ours. We are able to provide support for a wide variety of abilities; all of our vehicles are comfortable and air-conditioned.
